Spanish Wingfoil Race Champion and Musician Gunnar Biniasch joined our North R&D team in 2021.

Living in Fuerteventura, Gunnar can fly every day no matter what the conditions are.

“I love the versatility of the sport. You can do so much with a foil: Wing, Windsurf, Prone, Paddle, Dockstart Pumping and Kite”. 

Gunnar, a self-confessed eternal first-adopter, started foiling self-taught in 2009 and winging in early 2019.

He is inspired by 75yo local Fuerteventura rider, Aberto Rassa, who is still out on the water every day and killing it.

"This might sound a bit strange, but Alberto is always one of the first guys to learn a new sport. He Kitesurfs, Stand Up Paddles, Kite foils and learned to wing last year. That man is not afraid of hard conditions and is out there in waves and winds that even make me pause. My goal is to be like him 30 years from now."
