Sonar Fuselage come in a choice of two lengths - 600 or 700mm - and two constructions, aluminium or carbon. A longer fuselage offers more stability, is ideal for high speed foiling and learning to foil. A shorter fuse has a faster turning response.
Pitch is the movement of the foil fore and aft. The 700mm fuse has a longer, slower cadence, offers greater pitch stability and is ideal for learning to foil. The 600mm Fuse is more pitch sensitive and has a shorter, faster pump cadence.
Cranking turns in style
Shorter fuse = tighter arc turns
Longer fuse = wider arc turns
The aluminium fuselage is CNC-machined into a hydrodynamically-optimized shape. The carbon fuselage has a sandwich construction with a foam core inside and a thin carbon laminate wrap on the outside.
The Carbon Fuselage is 42% lighter than the aluminium fuselage, yet still incredibly strong. Tune in to our North Foils Fuselage Designer Notes Video to learn more.
Engineered for strength and stiffness, our unique GeoLock tapered geometry locking system provides a more effective load-bearing connection between your mast and fuselage.
