Tarifa GKA Recap: North Women's Team

Did you tune into the Biggest Big Air Event of the Year? Get your fix with our GKA Big Air Womens Recap video featuring World Champ Capucine Delannoy, Karlie Thoma & Bruna Kajiya.

It was an event not to be missed, hosted in the mecca of Kiteboarding, Tarifa, Spain. As Karlie Thoma said, "This feeling is everything. I never imagined I would be riding alongside these powerful women. I'm so excited to see where we can take Kiteboarding and, for the next chapter, competing in Big Air."

Speaking of powerful women, we must mention Capucine Delannoy. The 2022 GKA Big Air Strapless World Champion. 🏆

"I achieved the goal I had set since I started kiting. The past three months have been intense. I trained harder than I ever did before, but it was so worth it!"

No challenge is too big for the women's team; they took on the GKA Big Air Championship head first.

Just take a read of Bruna's journey. "I only decided to take on this challenge one and a half months before the event. Although I had two problems, I was facing a Kite Loop mental block due to previous injuries, and I was not comfortable with winds of 35-40 knots."

"Each day, I broke down the mental barriers. There were moments of great joy and overcoming fear and other times of difficulty, where I felt paralyzed.".

"Despite being bedridden for ten days before the event, I competed in 35 knots of wind. I did my Kite Loops with my 6m Pulse and flew!"

"Remember you are bigger than your fears.".
